If you have a reasonably popular open source project, it’s often a good idea to decommission the project instead of deleting it without notice.
Fortunately GitHub makes this really easy to do with its archive feature, but there’s also a few other things you can do before archiving your repo to ensure your sunsetting message is clear. Here’s a ~5 minute video going over that.
